Nine and a half years ago we set up our first pop-up booth of baked goods at our local farmer’s market in Winston-Salem. The Amish Cinnamon Rolls you have come to love were a last minute addition to our well-planned menu. In fact, for that first market we made only 12 rolls, and I was skeptical they would all sell.
•
I smile at that now, remembering the butterflies in my stomach as we were setting up our table, spreading a snowy linen cloth, arranging our freshly baked pastries: layer cakes like my Aunt Edna used to make, scones and cookies, pies made just like my mother taught me, and, of course, those 12 cinnamon rolls.
•
We sold out in an hour, much to my amazement. And that was the beginning of our little baking business, which turned into a bigger baking business and then into a storefront in the historic West End of our city.
•
Now, almost a decade later, I am so grateful for taking the leap of faith to start a business at age 54, and incredibly thankful to have a daughter willing to do it with me.
•
These days our team has grown to accommodate a bustling and growing schedule of baking and serving guests. It feels wonderful to have a reliable team to carry on the work we started almost a decade ago.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. We are grateful for you!
