POV: you’ve got duel roles at this wedding.

Nothing like spending the wedding day switching between fixing the bride’s train, giving a speech, wiping away tears, AND making sure the dessert table is picture perfect.

Getting to stand beside someone I love on one of the biggest days of her life was already incredibly special — but getting to create her wedding cake and desserts through Specialty Cakes by Morgan made this one hit a little differently.

There’s something so special about getting to be a tiny part of so many couples’ wedding days through my business, but actually getting to experience the day from BOTH sides gave me a whole new appreciation for it. From baker mode ➡️ Matron of Honor mode ➡️ immediately back to checking the cake.

So, future brides… I’m accepting wedding cake inquiries as always, but more importantly: are any of you still taking applications for Maid of Honor? Because apparently I offer a pretty solid package deal. 💁🏼‍♀️

This one was extra special 🤍

I’ve made a lot of wedding cakes over the years, but it hits a little differently when the bride is your cousin, soul sister, and one of your very favorite people.

Getting to create her wedding cake was already such an honor, but getting to trade in my apron for a bridesmaid dress and stand beside her as her Matron of Honor made the day even sweeter. From making the cake to giving the speech (and trying to keep the tears under control 😭), I’m so grateful I got to be part of her day in so many ways.

Here’s to the newlyweds and a lifetime of love, laughter, and plenty of cake!

This three-tier wedding cake was covered in delicate, handmade white florals for a soft monochromatic look that lets all that texture do the talking. And can we talk about this gorgeous mirror moment?!

Beachy, bridal, and just a little bit quackers

This coastal wedding cake was SO much fun to create! From the textured ombré buttercream waves and sandy shores to the seashell details, beach fencing, pearl “bubbles,” and the cutest bride & groom ducks on top, every detail was made to bring a little seaside personality to the celebration.
