2024…the year we commemorated 100 years of business! Thank you to our community for celebrating this milestone with us.

While we don’t know what 2025 will bring, it’ll undoubtedly be full of more surprises. Of note, we just upgraded our fountain soda machine and will now serve cherry cola off the tap!

TODAY we celebrate 100 years of business and commemorate Abe’s Hot Dogs, as the oldest restaurant in Wilkes-Barre! Event starts at 1PM

TOMORROW IS THE DAY! Our family is so excited to invite you all to our 100 Year Celebration! Details below!

Event starts at 1:00 PM.

Following a brief ceremony with Mayor Brown, there will be live music from Tim Noble starting at 2:00 PM.

FREE HOT DOGS FROM 3:00-5:00 PM on the outside charcoal grill.

There will also be free ice cream from The Magic Bus Ice Cream!

We will be hosting a free raffle for several different items including a vintage Abe’s Hot Dogs hat, a 100 year anniversary T-shirt, and tickets to a Phillies baseball game!

Parking: our lot will be closed for the event. Our amazing neighbors at CrisNics and Wet Paint have offered to let us use their space for parking. We also offer street parking.

WILKES-BARRE — Abe’s Hot Dogs on Barney Street in Wilkes-Barre plans to celebrate its 100th anniversary Saturday with a popular promotion: free hot dogs.

Please join us this Saturday as we commemorate Abe’s Hot Dogs as the FIRST restaurant in Wilkes-Barre to celebrate a centennial anniversary.

Time: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: 210 Barney Street

There will be a short ceremony with Mayor Brown at the start of the event. Live music will begin at 2:00PM. And as a thank you to our community, we will be serving FREE hot dogs from 3pm-5pm. There will also be The Magic Bus Ice Cream for everyone!
