Larkin’s has always been more than a restaurant — it has been our family’s heart since 1950. It began with our grandparents, Joseph and Marian Larkin, who built something truly special: a place of comfort, connection, and memories for generations of families.
After our grandfather passed, our grandmother carried Larkin’s forward with remarkable strength and love. She poured her heart into the restaurant and into every person who walked through its doors, treating customers like family and family like everything.
When she passed, their son, Joseph “Jay” Larkin, took over — and Larkin’s became not just his responsibility, but his life’s passion. Jay was immensely proud of Larkin’s. He lived and breathed the restaurant, often saying it wasn’t just what he did, it was who he was. He took great pride in its history, its reputation, and the relationships built there, working tirelessly to honor his parents’ legacy and keep Larkin’s a place people felt at home. To Jay, Larkin’s wasn’t a business — it was family, purpose, and pride all wrapped into one.
After Jay’s passing, his wife Kathleen Larkin stepped in and continued the tradition with unwavering devotion. She honored the past while keeping Larkin’s alive and thriving for the community she loved so deeply, ensuring its warmth and spirit never faded.
We are endlessly grateful to every customer, friend, employee, and family member who made Larkin’s a true family icon for generations. Your support, stories, laughter, and loyalty mean more than words can ever express.
Following Kathleen's passing this year, and in following her and Jay's wishes, that we share that the time has come for Larkin’s to begin a new chapter with new owners tomorrow. While this chapter closes for our family, the love, memories, and legacy built over the last 75-years by Joseph, Marian, Jay, and Kathleen will always remain.
Thank you for being part of our story. Larkin’s will forever be in our hearts.🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
Thank you again !
