From the 37th anniversary to the 80th. ❤️
This old newspaper clipping of Joe during Roy’s 37th anniversary hits a little differently this year.
We had hoped so much that he would be here to celebrate Roy’s 80th anniversary with us. Sadly, we lost him in January, just a few months shy of seeing that milestone.
Roy’s was so much more than a grocery store to Joe. It was a huge part of his life, and through the years, he poured so much of himself into the store, his employees, his customers, and this community.
He may not be here with us for the 80th anniversary sale the way we had hoped, but there is no celebrating 80 years of Roy’s without celebrating Joe and the legacy he left behind.
