Today is a very sad day. 💔
Three years ago, my daughter and I were sitting around dreaming up this crazy idea of opening a coffee shop. We were trying to come up with a name, and I swear we came up with an insane number of possibilities.
Then we remembered one of our favorite Dolly Parton songs, 9 to 5.
“Pour myself a cup of ambition…”
And BOOM. 💡
Why not Ambition Coffee?
It just made sense. And that’s how Ambition was officially born.
I have loved Dolly for as long as I can remember, and loving Dolly is something I passed down to my kids. Not just her incredible music, but the woman she was — strong, independent, entrepreneurial, spirited, kind, and endlessly generous.
The amount of good she has done throughout her life is something I think we should all aspire to. She lived her life on her own terms, worked hard, dreamed big, and used her success to make a difference in the lives of others.
Dolly wasn’t just a country music icon. She was an icon, period.
And whether she knew it or not, a little piece of her became part of our story three years ago when we chose that name.
So today, we raise a cup of ambition to the woman who inspired the name of our little dream. ☕️
Rest in peace, Dolly.
We will always love you. ❤️
