Thank you to Edwardo with Wichita Business Journal for sharing a piece of the 86 Cold Press story. After 10 years of building, growing, learning, pivoting, and delivering, it’s bittersweet to see our courier service come to a close. But I’m also walking into this next chapter with a lot of gratitude and hope for what’s ahead.

After 10 years, I’ve made the decision to officially close 86 Cold Press.

What started as something I needed for my own health turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. It became my career, my routine, and a way to connect with so many of you. There’s a version of me that grew up alongside this brand, and letting go of that is a lot to process.

When I think back, it’s not just the milestones. It’s the early mornings with the juice bike, long market days, the downtown shop, Bradley Fair concerts, and eventually becoming a modern-day milkman delivering fresh product to your doorsteps.

I think about the early days with Courtney, Jaclyn, Michael, and everyone who came through after. The music playing while we prepped to open, the rhythm, the conversations, the laughs. There are faces and names that immediately come to mind. I’ve heard over and over this was one of the most enjoyable jobs people have had. Me too.

I’ve always seen myself as someone who builds brands. Over the years, I’ve taken risks, opened shops, and reshaped this business. The last few years felt like building a startup all over again, and I truly felt like I was right on the edge of something bigger.

But at a certain point, you have to be real with yourself. I’ve taken this as far as I can in its current form. It’s simply time.

One of the hardest parts is knowing how many of you have made this part of your routine and your health. That means more to me than I can really explain.

Final production will be May 18, with last deliveries on May 19. If you have loyalty points or gift cards, now is the time to use them. The app will be active through May 7, then orders move to the website. I’ll personally reach out to subscribers.

I’ll be sharing more soon about how we’ll celebrate these final weeks. This won’t just be a quiet exit.

Running a small business means constantly adjusting, refining, and finding ways to keep quality where it belongs, at the center of everything we do. At 86 Cold Press, we’ll always protect the freshness and standards that built this brand.

Because of that, we’re making a few updates behind the scenes. Our loyalty rewards program will be suspended indefinitely, with points available to redeem through May 18th. We’ll still continue accepting returned bottles as always.

We’re also making temporary price adjustments on select juices due to rising produce costs, especially citrus, pears, cucumbers, and kale. Not every juice will be affected, and we’ll share those details separately.

Lastly, jug-size purchasing options will be removed for the time being as we continue streamlining production. Thank you for supporting a local business that continues to evolve, adapt, and keep pressing forward.
