We going to be part of a documentary called “Slice of Life” it’s about The American Dream (small businesses) in former Pizza Hut locations across the Nation. Hope to see you there!!
Rose Tucker and Matthew Salleh, an Australian documentary filmmaking duo based in New York stopped by the Museum today! They are working on a documentary, "Slice of Life," by traveling across the US filming former Pizza Hut buildings that are now used for other purposes such as churches, bars, etc. Our Museum currently has on exhibit objects on loan from the Pizza Hut Museum located on the Campus of Wichita State University.
"Slice of Life" is a contemporary portrait of America, told through the small businesses who have set up shop in former Pizza Huts. These nostalgic spaces hold memories of a bygone era, but through the power of transformation, they provide something new and special for the communities that continue to flow through them.
This is a completely independent documentary production with an anticipated release at film festivals in early 2024, followed by a broader online release on streaming platforms.
