๐ณ What an incredible day serving the Elkhart, IN community!
On Thursday, leaders and team members from across all Delight Restaurant Group brands came together to support the Trees for Elkhart program, led by the Elkhart Environmental Center. Their mission is inspiring: plant 2,000 trees throughout Elkhart neighborhoods by 2028.
There are not many opportunities where leaders from different brands, departments, and functions can come together, roll up their sleeves, and work side-by-side for a cause that will positively impact generations to come. This was one of those special moments!
We were also honored to have the Mayor of Elkhart, Rod Roberson, join us for the event. Jaimie Tate, Director of Operations, Delight Taco Bell, did a fantastic job introducing the Delight Restaurant Group team and highlighting our commitment to serving not only our guests, but also the communities where we live and work.
Did you know? Trees serve as the primary lifelines of our environment. They act as natural climate regulators, water filters, and biodiversity anchors. Through their daily biological functions, a single tree significantly improves the atmosphere, soil, and wildlife ecosystem around it.
Together, our Delight team planted six trees that will provide benefits to the community for decades to come. More importantly, we strengthened relationships, gave back to the city we serve, and demonstrated what it truly means to live out our values.
Special thanks to Jaimie Tate, and her entire team for all their hard work. We were also joined by Penny Sanchez Regional Vice President|Partner for Delight Wendyโs, and to every manager, team member, and family member who grabbed a shovel and made a difference.
We were honored to get our hands dirty, dig holes, and plant some trees that will be standing long after weโre gone. There is something special about knowing that a few hours of work today can leave a lasting impact for a lifetime.
This is what community partnership looks like. This is what โWe Win Togetherโ looks like.
