Hey friends.

I'm looking for a young pregnant lady, I believe she works at First Bank Downtown.....I cannot remember her name.

She was in a few weeks ago and asked about when I'll be making a certain soup again.

If you know her, tell her I'm making Poblano Corn Chowder tomorrow! 💞

Also side note, mark your calendars for the LAST week of August, 24th-28th.

We will be doing the Jalepeno Pickle Popper Sandwich again....and yes I will also make the Pickle Ranch.

Another special!

A customer came in earlier last week and wanted the Pickle Popper. We made it happen (maybe a tad different), but I decided this needs to be our Weekly Special for July 13-17.

Jalepeno Pickle Popper Grilled Cheese

🥒 Jalepeno-Pickle Cream Cheese
🥒 Cheddar
🥒 Chicken or Ham
🥒 Bacon

Toasted on a Jalepeno Cheddar Sourdough (while supplies last.)

I wanted to share this video my daughter sent me yesterday.

Madi's Bday is July 9th, and of course we had to celebrate and include Sarge!

Y'all remember Sarge right?

If you don't know, he was Homeless, but stayed somewhere Downtown. I think he possibly had a place where he slept, but he walked the streets Downtown pretty much all day.

He came in every morning for a coffee.

He wrote me notes every single day.

He called me Blanco Baby. 🤣

He was seriously a very very sweet man with a Broken past. Over the years, we all developed a friendship with this sweet Man.

I believe this was around 2016. He passed away in 2017, if I remember correctly.

Let's talk about Cyclospora.....🥺

Apparently Texas is amongst multiple States to have an outbreak, so with that being said, tomorrow (Friday, July 10th) we will ONLY have Salads available AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Meaning~~~~
We will explain the situation of the Parasite, and you will be able to make your own decision.

I'm not certain about Spinach, so I will check into that for the Sandwiches that have Spinach on them. We will NOT do all Spinach Salads, if I find it to be safe. Spinach will be saved for the Sandwiches.

Honestly I'm shocked Salads have not been removed from the Stores, or maybe they were today?

In place of Salads, I will hopefully figure out another option.

Thank you for your understanding. We do not want any of our customers to get this Parasite from one of our meals! 🥰

A guide to Cyclospora

I cobbled together for your convenience:

Avoid:
-All Lettuce
-All bagged lettuce (especially from Taylor Farms & Earthbound Farms)
-Berries (specifically raspberries)
-Basil
-Cilantro
-Snow peas
-Sweet peas

If sick:
-Hydrate. Don’t just drink water, also replenish electrolytes.
-Rest.
-Consult a doctor about taking antidiarrheal medicines and antibiotics.

Unfortunately, just washing the produce does not kill Cyclospora. It must be cooked, baked, or boiled.
