Always a little sad when Sporting clays weekend comes to an end! Great turn out and an awesome course set by Chris Elliott of Elliott’s Wing and Clay Shooting Instuction! We had 4 shooters hit the Punch Card Option, 3 of which played it last month for the perpetual pay out! Congratulations to everyone option checks are ready for the mail and we’re looking forward to September 18-20 with added excitement as we host the Quail and Upland Game Alliance fundraiser Event 6 100 target silver coin event on Saturday.

This weekend! Also if you’re interested in sporting clays but not an NSCA member did you know it is a national registering organization for sporting clays and your first year’s membership is free? What that means is not only are you able to be competitive with your existing friends and/or family but also gain exposure to a fantastic community of like minded people! Their classification and concurrent system keeps everyone on a level playing field regardless of age, skill set or experience. If you haven’t shot in a tournament environment before feel free to call or text Dave at 618-841-2109 and discuss it as well as what you might want to bring in order to perform your best!

The Bond group from southern Indiana didn't let the heat stop them from getting in three days of golf at Rend Lake! This was their second trip this year and they always have a great time. Thank you for choosing Rend Lake each year. We appreciate you and look forward to seeing you each year.

TOMORROW! Take a journey to the center of the Earth with a hands-on geo-science show at the Rend Lake Visitor Center! The Snow group had a wonderful weekend at Rend Lake! They finished off their weekend with nine holes this morning before heading out. We thank you for choosing Rend Lake for your outing and will see you all next year!

A little rain didn't keep the Schott/Westbrook group from southeast Missouri from their annual outing this weekend. It was also their first trip without leader Bill "BA" Aslin who passed away in April. His absence was definitely missed but as he would say "Keep swinging, keep drinking!" and these guys did! Thank you for always choosing Rend Lake for your annual outing. We appreciate you and hope you enjoyed your outing!
