God morning my good friends
This is me on this beautiful sunny Wednesday morning! God is so god! I wanted to take a moment to update you on some recent developments and express my gratitude for your support during this time.
First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you for the private messages and phone calls expressing your concern about the closure of the restaurant. Your genuine care and support mean the world to me, and I want you to know that it is truly cherished.
Now, let's address the decision to close the restaurant. It was not an easy one, but after much contemplation and prayer, I made this personal choice. Spending quality time with my loving family, my amazing wife who is my best friend, spending time with the kids has became a priority. We long for simple pleasures like riding through the countryside and having cookouts in our backyard.
The restaurant encountered some challenges along the way, such as the recent breakdown of our walk-in freezer, which would have cost upper $10,000 to repair. Coupled with the expense of fixing a leaking ceiling, I began questioning whether it was worth continuing. The daily commute of an hour and twenty minutes, with the added unpredictability of traffic, made it a two-hour journey, taking a toll on me. However, I found solace and peace during those long drives, cherishing my alone time with God.
The current state of our economy.causing profitability, as it seems to have declined. Previously, we were achieving a profitability rate of 15-20 percent. However, recently, it has decreased significantly, and now we are lucky to reach 3 percent. I believe it is essential to address these matters and find potential solutions to improve our financial situation.
I want to assure you that we are not being forced out of business, as some might assume. We still have our trusty food truck, and we will continue to cater to selective events. Please know that everything is okay. While closing the restaurant presents its challenges, we firmly believe that prayers will guide us through this journey. We recognize our true friends in this adventure Friends gave pleasant, sincere advice, seeking our highest good (Proverbs 27:9; Proverbs 12:26); Friends honor each other above themselves (Romans 12:10). Friends love each other the same way Christ loves us (John 15:12-13); Friends challenge each other to meet the highest good (Proverbs 27:17). And all others, I forgive you and hopefully you forgive me for whatever I might have done that offended you. God loves us all the same.
Once again, I appreciate your support and understanding during this time. As If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.
