Long needed business update…
Three years ago on April 23rd Clientele Art Studio was kind enough to host our very first pop up event. Since then we have spent three years working a double life working as baristas, music teachers, and now as parents. Once Finn arrived, it became clear that our little coffee business was either going to come to an end, or have to take some difficult steps. Over the past 3 months we have been very busy behind the scenes.
We closed last week on 43 15th street where it all began for us. Clientele has been a staple in the community serving as a place where so many creatives could gather and grow thanks to Will Wallace, owner. He invested a ton of time and money building a hub for like minded people who wanted to enrich Wheeling. We were lucky enough to meet some of our very best friends there, and we cannot thank Will and Jenna enough.
Our plan is to use the space primarily as a specialty coffee roastery, home to our new, not yet unveiled, 6 kilo roaster. It will also function as Tacet headquarters, a pop up space for the cart, coffee cuppings, classes, and other unique offerings. Brick and mortar café is not currently our goal with this space, but we still want it to remain a place to gather.
Steve and I are still committed to our music teaching career, and we are excited to build Tacet Coffee at the same time! We look forward to serving in this supportive community and continuing to provide locally roasted specialty coffee!
