We have now officially had our doors open for 4 years!!! 🥳
5 years ago, before Mr. Biscuits was even an idea. Our family was dealing with the tragic and sad loss of our beloved mother, Mandi JoHanna Pearson. Her death was the catalyst that made Mr Biscuits possible, from the social security money we used to start the business, to the simple fact that it was a way to honor her memory.
Our dad insisted we open on August 28th back in 2021 because it would have been his grandpa's (the man who raised him) 100th birthday.
To those of you who may not know, our dad, Chad Ryan Pearson, also tragically and suddenly passed away in May of this year. The pain of this loss... it can't quite be put into words.
If you go into our little shop, you may have spotted quotes on the wall or our quirky decor. He did all of that. If you've ever gotten a Mr. biscuits magnet or pin, he hand cut and pressed every. single. one.
Heck, even the name itself was his nickname for me growing up.
Mr. Biscuits would not have been possible if it wasn't for him.
When I was little, every night before going to bed, he would hold me and sing "Little Man" by Alan Jackson. A song about the struggles and disappearance of small family owned businesses.
This anniversary, I would like to dedicate the success of these past 4 years in business to the person who made me who I am today, my dad, Chad Ryan Pearson. You made mistakes, but you were the best dad someone could have asked for.
Lastly, I'll share one of his favorite quotes, one that exemplifies the kind of philosophy he instilled in me all my life.
“Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
So here's to 4 years in business, to my great grandfathers 104th birthday, and especially to my dad for making this all possible.
Thank you all, from the bottom of our heart 🙏
