Our Story

Several years ago, I started dating the man of my dreams who I am now proud to call my husband. As our love grew and our relationship developed, so did our cooking skills. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen together after we both worked all day chopping, dicing, catching up, and getting to know each other better. Our love of soups grew organically out of our time in the kitchen and the cold winters we face here in Western New York.

It wasn’t long before we had friends and family alike commenting on the amazing quality of our soups. Ideas grew and brainstorms were had... and out of all that came The Wooden Spoon.

We are a take out only, small little shop on 29 Elm Street in Westfield, NY. However, we promise big flavors that will keep you coming back time and time again. If you have a favorite soup, make your reservation for a quart or two ahead of time. Because we do small batch soups made from scratch... they go fast.
