Apologies to those who came into the shop last night for blueberry soft serve and found it wasn’t here yet. I messed up the dates on the calendar I originally posted, but those dates are fixed on here! We’ve got blueberry soft serve for the week, which means a strawberry-blueberry twist. Plus a special sundae collab with The Peach Truck : raspberry-cornmeal cake, peach compote, raspberry sauce, whipped cream. Her name is SAVANNAH!!!!! AND we’ve got our lemon-blueberry Lucille (as well as pie versions of it) for a few more weeks!

Eight years ago, we started this little business! Many of you have been with us from the very beginning, which was a fairly disastrous night in a parking lot in Sunbury, where our machine broke down gazillion of times, and I ended up covered in chocolate soft serve. So thanks for sticking around even after that.

Never in a million years did I imagine myself owning a business when I was growing up. I liked to have my head in the clouds and would have gladly spent my whole life that way, except that I also needed to eat food and pay bills. Oh well! Learning how to be a bookkeeper and administrator and manager has made me grow up in ways I probably needed to grow up. And, thankfully, I’ve gotten to do it while also being able to create a bit of magic and joy along the way.

For those of you who are new here, we named our business after our two daughters, Mabel and Ida, and have since added two more little ladies to our family (Flannery and Simone). If you come to our shop, you can see all their names on the menu and decide which one has the most delicious ice cream sundae.

We will have our truck on the square in Galena, which is a spot where we used to always set up, on FRIDAY, JUNE 12 5:30-8:30, to celebrate 8 YEARS!! 9 W Columbus Street, Galena.

We will have some sort of delicious ice cream sundae that I will put together by then, but I’m living a day at a time this summer 😅, so I guess you’ll find out what it is tomorrow!
