Centered in the heart of West Shawmut (Lanett, AL), Newt’s Food Machine got its start in August of 1981 when James Newton decided to apply his cooking knowledge to a restaurant centered on uniquely flavored foods. Now known as Newt’s Fried Chicken, the establishment has expanded to three locations including West Point, GA and Lafayette AL.
