Good morning from the SD BBQ Championships in Huron SD! Up at 4am to start up the Gateway Drum Smokers, trim, inject and season the Springer Mountain Farms chicken provided to us from Mister Brisket, Inc. but the highlight of the morning has to be the amazing biscuits and gravy from Jason at Wags Backwoods BBQ! 5 stars sir! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

All set up finally, and trying to dry off in Huron, South Dakota for the SD BBQ Championships this weekend. Hit driving, thunderstorms and rain going through Watertown South Dakota yesterday. Thinking hopefully we avoided all that crap down here, but nooooooooo!  Severe weather rolled in again last night, people, losing canopies, flags, etc., but 3 inches of rain later we got a mud bath here at the fairgrounds. Supposed to be around 85 and mostly sunny today so hopefully stuff will dry out so we can get a good cook on! Good luck to all the team teams here-it’s gonna be a great weekend! Thanks to our sponsors and suppliers of the amazing products we use every competition!
