Couldn't resist the opportunity to share these images from the Korean Friendship Bell located in Southern California. The bell was dedicated in 1976 and represents the friendship between the Republic of Korea and the United States. Two years later in Oct 1978, the 'Friendship Bell' was declared Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 187. Thanks everyone who stopped last night in WDM (1300 50th Street) to pick-up some kimchi! Our friend Bob showed up with his (clean and empty) salsa jar and took home delicious kimchi to enjoy!

Please consider supporting the Korean Cultural Connection tomorrow if you're planning to stop out in West Des Moines to pick-up kimchi at Ingersoll Wine Merchants. KCC hosts some amazing cultural events in Iowa but their activities require financial support as well. Therefore please consider a freewill donation as you see us Saturday evening for free kimchi! We are distributing excess kimchi that wasn't completely rendered in our menu items -- last Saturday's World Food & Music Festival downtown. Stop by 1300 50th Street Ste.200 WDM with your empty (clean) pickle or mason jar and you'll leave with some delicious kimchi to enjoy with friends (or all to yourself if you prefer). Tomorrow after normal business hours (9:10pm) so we'll close up shop and let you in the wine store.

Located right across from the festival merchandise tent at 12th and Locust St. we're right next to Scimeca's Italian Sausages at booth number thirty-two!! Korean beef taco and rice bowls.. and also spicy pork in either tacos or rice bowls as well; FINALLY don't forget to check out our savory + spicy tofu kimchi!!
