S&S Marketplace Farm Stand | Delicatessen | Butcher Shoppe | Cookery This expansion is also reflected in the name of the new website, ssmarketplace.com.

S & S has represented the best in fresh produce for close to 30 years, adjusting its inventory "according to the seasons." Drawing on small local farms and the New England Produce Center in Chelsea in season, the West Boylston business provides "good consistent value and experience" year round. With the deli, added in the 90's, and the butcher shoppe, added in 2011, S&S is now a collection of specialty food shoppes.

With all this rain coming, you might find yourself trapped inside for what feels like days on end... sounds like the perfect time for a Slow Cooker Pot Roast! There is nothing better than staying in with the incredible aroma of a simmered pot roast while you listen to the patter or the rain hit your rooftop, plus, with our Braveheart Black Angus Chuck Pot Roast on sale it is the ultimate rainy-day comfort meal to warm up the whole house.

🥩 COZY SEASON SLOW COOKER CHUCK POT ROAST 🥩

Servings: 6 to 8
Estimated Nutrition (per serving): ~450 Calories | ~42g Protein

INGREDIENTS
From The Butcher Shoppe:
• 3–4 lb Braveheart Black Angus Chuck Pot Roast
• 1 jar Roast Beef Rub (or New England Steak Seasoning)
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

From The Farm Stand:
• 1 lb Russet or Yukon Gold Potatoes (cubed)
• 1 lb bag Carrots (chopped)
• 1 large Yellow Onion (sliced into wedges)
• 4 cloves Fresh Garlic (minced)
• 2 sprigs Fresh Rosemary & Fresh Thyme

From The Deli:
• 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil or butter for searing
• 2 cups Beef Broth
• 1 tbsp Tomato Paste

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Start by patting your roast dry with paper towels and season generously on all sides with our Roast Beef Rub or New England Steak Seasoning.
2. Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast until a rich, golden-brown crust forms on all sides (about 3–4 minutes per side). Transfer the roast to your slow cooker.
3. Add your freshly chopped Yukon or Russet potatoes, carrots, sliced onions, and garlic right around the roast in the slow cooker.
4. Whisk together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste until they are fully combined
5. Pour the liquid mixture over the meat and vegetables, then nestle the fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs into the pot.
6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours (or HIGH for 3 to 4 hours) until the beef easily shreds with a fork.
7. When finished cooking, remove the herb stems, serve & enjoy!
