October 17th, they day we share

Through the years, many have asked us about the meaning behind our name, 589. In April of 2008, Scott lost his oldest son, Hayden, in a motorcross accident when he was just 16 years old.

Hayden was such a wonderful light that everyone loved. Hayden was at the top of his class at his High School and was headed to Texas A&M when he graduated. When Texas A&M learned of his passing through friends and family, they made him a medallion that sits on his marble bench at the cemetery in Odessa where he is buried.

589 was Hayden's motocross number. When you come to see us, you will see 2 of his Jerseys proudly displayed around the restaurant.

It was an easy choice when it came to naming the restaurant and deciding to name it after such a great person. This gives us the opportunity to honor his legacy a little every day.

Today would have been Hayden's 35th Birthday.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Hayden! We love and miss you every single day.
