The Haywood 209 Cafe has been open for business since March 2015. The building, however, has been a restaurant under many titles for over thirty years serving the Ironduff Community in the beautiful border county of Haywood, within the city of Waynesville, North Carolina. The Haywood 209 Cafe on Highway 209 (Crabtree Road) is located across the street from the entrance to Ironduff Road, connected to Sam's Mart, Exit 24 off of Interstate 40. Greetings to You All. Id like to take a moment to address these negative comments on our page as well as My other two locations of Business
Waynesville Main Street Diner And Crepe and Custard at Lake junaluska. These comments are about dogs in our restaurants. Please understand Federal law under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) permits trained service animals to accompany their handlers in public accommodations, including restaurants. While we strive to provide a comfortable experience for all guests, we are also committed to complying with ADA requirements and respecting the rights of individuals who rely on service animals. We appreciate your understanding and your patronage. As A business owner I am allowed to ask two questions
Question #1)
Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?
Question #2)
What work or Task has the animal been trained to perform?
That is it. As long as the animal is under the control of their owner well behaved and is not disruptive Im going to serve them.
We have dog friendly patios for all the puppies.
I can respect your opinion and perception as this is not a matter of preference. It is a legal requirement. I nor my team legally cannot personally vet each and every dog.
So with much respect your personal opinion and perception is your responsibility not mine nor the teams.
