This area is available for catered parties, such as birthday parties, team parties, and church parties. Fishing, boating, and scenic natural beauty abound in McCobb's Aquatic Park. Located directly behind the restaurant, the park offers 450 feet of access to the trout-stocked Ramapo River. There are benches, paths, a walkway to the river's edge, and a boat ramp for canoes and kayaks. Bring your own fishing or boating equipment and make a day out of it!

I have been asked many times about the history of McCobb's formerly the Maple Snack Bar but never have written one on FB.
So here it goes:
The Maple Snack Bar opened in 1940 and was constructed with war-time materials. This meant whatever was available at that time and consequently, The Maple was a ram shacked building. They served Texas Weiners purposely misspelled, Hamburgers, & French Fries. The Wait Staff were known as Soda Jerks back then because there were no soda sq**rt systems and a soda was made with a teaspoon of syrup and carbonated water where the waiter hand stirred your soda by stirring it with a jerking motion. The Maple Snack Bar serviced the community from 1940 thru 1973. This was known as the Drive-In era where patrons ordered their food at the counter and brought it to their cars in cardboard boxes. The automobile played a very important role in this type of restaurant and thus, "eat in ur car" was the era of fast food. From the many patrons of this era that I had the pleasure of talking to and that wanted to give me a little piece of their history, this place was their Saturday night out on the town. They would reminisce about the 1950's Popcorn Machine for 10 cents and Seeburg Jukebox that they would listen to Elvis Presley's latest release. These were Mom & Pop Style restaurants, owner operated, and independently owned unlike the chains & franchises of today. Those early pioneers of the "Drive- In era" designed the model & frame of reference for all the contemporaries such as McDonald's, Burger King, & Wendy's.
