ANNOUNCEMENT:

I started working at the Waverly Café as a server more than 17 years ago. What started as a part time job while I worked my way through nursing school, quickly became a full time passion-even long after I became a nurse.

This restaurant and this community have my heart, So, It is with mixed emotions that I announce that the Waverly Café will close at the end of this month. Our final day of service will be Sunday, August 29th. Thank you for your support through the years, It has truly been an honor to be part of this incredible community.

On the bright side, it is not goodbye, we hope it will instead be see you soon! In mid-October my incredible team and I will be opening a new restaurant, Headlands Café & Market, just 4 miles down the road in Montrose.

This change will give us the opportunity to expand our offerings to our guests:

• A larger kitchen that will allow us to improve the guest experience, where we can also prepare canned goods, prepared family style meals, bakery treats and other market items for retail sale

• Farm to table menu offerings featuring ingredients grown here in our community

• More options for catering through full off site or mobile food trailer services

• A farm-to fork partnership with Untiedt’s Vegetable farm and Wright County Community Action, allowing us to prepare canned goods and preserve foods that might otherwise have gone to waste and donate them to our neighbors in need

After this morning’s storm one of our air conditioners stopped working, We are closing early today due to excessive kitchen temperatures. We will reopen tomorrow at 8:00am. Please keep your fingers crossed our HVAC guy can get our air up and running! We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to excessive heat and high temperature
in our kitchen we will be closing at 2 pm today 7/23 and tomorrow 7/24. Our apologies, thank you for your understanding!

We apologize but the Waverly Café will be closed tomorrow 6/5 due to a repair issue(at least first thing in the morning)We will update as soon as we have more information as to when the café can reopen. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience.

We are looking for hosts for our busy summer weekends.

Job description includes: seating guests, managing a wait list and reservations, assisting servers in grabbing drinks or running food, and bussing and resetting tables.

Weekends or every other weekend are required. There is potential to pick up hours during the week as well.

$10/hour plus tip out from servers on shift.
