John's Drive-In John's Drive-In aka John's Rootbeer has been around since 1937, still the original building. We are open year round. In 1937 the building originated as an A&W.

It has had 4 different locations. In 1972 is when A&W pulled the franchise and became John's. We still continue the tradition of making our own beer in the basement with the same recipe since 1937. John Meehean has had the business now since 1991. We see about 60,000 visitors a year, most being regulars, and it's best when it's 85 and sunny. From the months of Sept-April we serve our homemade chili and fish frys everyday. You can also enjoy your rootbeer in a chilled mug year round.
