Back in 2022 when Arnie and I started Troublemakers’ Restaurant Group, we had little more than a dream we first came up with while working together at Milwaukee Steak House nearly a decade earlier. At the time, I was just 19 and Arnie wasn’t much older—but we knew we wanted to create something fun, creative, and a little mischievous.

What started as pop-ups quickly grew into a food truck, and then into Troublemakers’ Cocina inside Central Waters Brewery in downtown Milwaukee—all in less than a year. In 2023, when the opportunity came along to open Travieso in its current location, we decided to take a chance on bringing our downtown fusion fine dining concept out to the suburbs. We knew it would be an experiment, which is why we intentionally started with a short-term 3-year lease.

Over the past year, our catering and private events division has taken off in an incredible way. Between that growth and running Travieso, Arnie and I have been pulled in a lot of directions. With the lease coming to its planned end, we’ve decided this is the right moment to shift our focus toward catering for the busy summer season and start planning the next home for the Travieso concept—somewhere that makes even more sense for the future of Troublemakers’ Restaurant Group.

But before that happens… we want to celebrate the past three years with you.

This restaurant has been an amazing place for us to grow—from pop-up dinners to an everyday fine dining experience—and none of it would have been possible without the incredible community that supported us along the way. Sharing great food, drinks, and a little culinary “mischief” with all of you has truly been the best part of the journey.

Travieso’s last day of service at this location will be April 18.

Between now and then, we’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible. If you’ve been meaning to come in for dinner, this is your moment—join us for one more night of great food, cocktails, and memories in this space.

And don’t worry… this isn’t the end. It’s just the next chapter. Stay tuned—because we have some exciting possibilities in the works and can’t wait to share where Travieso will land next.

In the meantime, you can still find us getting into trouble at Central Waters Brewing Milwaukee, out on the road with the food truck at festivals, or catering private events. And who knows… maybe we can even sneak in a pop-up dinner or two with Chef Pam if she’s up for it.
