You might be wondering why this random family picture just showed up in your feed.

Getting a family of six together for a picture is about as easy as herding cats. Somehow, everyone is looking at the camera, everyone is dressed in actual clothes, nobody is wrestling or arguing, except for the youngest, but We’ll take that as a win!

But behind this picture is so much more than matching smiles. It’s the early mornings, the late nights, the sacrifices, the struggles, the setbacks, and the countless challenges our family works through every single day. I see the reason I get up and keep pushing forward when life gets hard.

Growing up, I didn’t have much. I remember promising myself that one day, if I was lucky enough to have a family of my own, I would do everything in my power to give them a life filled with love, support, confidence, adventure, and opportunity.

Not a perfect life. Just a life where they know they’re loved, they’re safe, and they can chase big dreams.

This photo isn’t special because everyone smiled at the same time. It’s special because it reminds me that everything I’ve worked for is standing right here in this picture.

Behind every successful taquito operation is a slightly larger meathead with a meal prep company.

Meet my culinary brother, Kris.

If you’re in the foodie world, you’ve probably crossed paths with him. He’s the owner of Kris Davia and the Lake Zurich Community Kitchen. When we first started FD Taquitos, I reached out about kitchen space. One conversation later, we were talking food, business, fitness, and probably protein intake.

Fast forward a few years and this guy has become a great friend, mentor, and one of the biggest supporters of our little taquito dream. His kitchen helped us grow, and his meals keeps me from becoming 90% taquito and firehouse casserole.

We’re proud to once again sponsor the BAD Golfers Outing on 9/19 alongside Kris and the crew.
