This coming Tuesday night, September 23rd, City staff will present the CONCEPTUAL MAIN STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAM for our Downtown to the City Council and to the general public. It is scheduled to be the first item on the agenda after oral communications at 6:30 PM. Oh, and by the way, we have consulted with a traffic engineer and implementing this project WILL NOT change the level of service for Downtown Streets.

A Public Art feature is one of the designs that is proposed for the area in front of our Civic Plaza. This will bring more visitors to the area and engage them for longer periods of time. It will also feature areas to read in the outdoors. A great feature for our library.

Better signage will assist visitors in finding parking and other key areas of the downtown and we will make it easier and safer to cross in the crosswalks by widening the sidewalks creating a shorter cross of traffic.
