Some nights remind me why I love this place so much.

Just after midnight, I was out on the deck watering flowers, looking across a lake so calm it reflected every mountain, every cloud, every bit of Alaska beauty back at me.

I know the weight of the world can feel heavy sometimes. There’s a lot of noise, and a lot of hard things happening around us.

But tonight, all I could think about was gratitude.

Gratitude for this community.
Gratitude for the people who show up for one another.
Gratitude for the conversations, the laughter, the kindness, and the love I get to witness every day.

The world may be imperfect, but there is still so much good in it.

We open at 4 PM tomorrow, and we can’t wait to welcome you.

Until then, I’m soaking in this view and counting my blessings. ❤️

5 Years of Hope 💙💙💙💙💙

What started five years ago as a simple idea by Shannon Harris has grown into something truly special for our community.

The very first Float for Hope took place on the other side of the lake. As it continued to grow, the event found a home at Everett’s and Mat-Su Resort, where we are honored to host it for the fourth year in a row and celebrate five years total of bringing people together.

Every year, hundreds of people gather on the water to form a symbol of hope—a powerful reminder that recovery is possible and that no one has to walk their journey alone.

The reality is that addiction has touched nearly every family in some way. We have all been affected. We all know someone who is struggling, someone in recovery, or someone we have lost.

Today, we float for them.

We float for hope.
We float for healing.
We float for recovery.
We float for those who are still fighting.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. There is help available, there are people who care, and there is always hope.

Thank you, Shannon, for starting something that has made such a meaningful impact in the Mat-Su Valley, and thank you to everyone who continues to show up year after year.

Recovery is possible. Hope is real. And together, we are stronger.

What a day.☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who joined us for our World Cup Watch Party today. The deck was packed, the restaurant was buzzing, the drinks were flowing, and the energy was absolutely amazing.

A huge thank you to our guests, our community, and our rockstar team who worked so hard to make today happen. We made more drinks than we could count, served a full house, and had an absolute blast doing it.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I was behind the bar most of the day, so I didn’t get a single picture of the crowd (which is probably a good sign 😅), so here’s a picture of our signature fireweed martini, coming 🔜!!!!!

The USA takes on Australia and we’ll have the match on every TV in the restaurant!

Doors open at 11:00 AM and kickoff is expected around 11:00 AM Alaska time, making Everett’s the perfect place to catch the action. Both teams come into the match with wins in their opening games, so this is a huge Group D showdown.
