You are not going to want to miss Kaziranga National Park! Aside from it being the home of the last 1-horned rhinos in the world, you will see elephants - and if the weather allows, even ride an elephant (as opposed to a jeep) into the park to get close to them.

You will likely see lots of animals, from exotic birds, to cows, goats, chickens, dogs, you name it. India is teeming with life and there's never a dull moment!

Space is definitely limited! There is room for 7 guests plus Jayanta Kakati and Amy Dubin-Nath as your guides, divided in 2 luxury jeeps so everyone has room.

The most important thing is that you get individual attention in the workshops, enjoy the personalized service and are as comfortable as possible along the way.

We do not discriminate. If you want to learn tea, you're friends of ours. Group, couples or singles. Doesn't matter!

You must have a valid passport with at least 6 months left on it and a complete page your visa can go on. Go find it. Check. Make sure.

You can do a tourist visa for just one trip or multiple entry. The process takes about 3 weeks. Once you put a deposit down, you will be walked through everything you need to do to make sure your visa is on point. Please note visa fees are not included in the tour. Please see below for what is and is not included!

The short answer is: only in places with Western bathrooms. :)

Seriously though, our tour is in a developing part of the nation and so when we're in the big cities, it'll be a hotel with similar standard as a Radisson Blu, but as we're touring Assam, we get to stay in heritage bungalows built by the British.

The advantage is you really feel like you're walking in living history! All are safe, have guards and comfy beds. Promise!

This tour was developed 8 years ago with Jayanta Kakati, who in his 40+ years in tea served as a tea garden manager for more than 2 decades and Secretary of the Guwahati Tea Auction Center for many years. He graduated with a degree in Tea Husbandry and is accompanying us for the entire tour.

This is his 3rd official tour with Janam Tea's Owner, Amy Dubin-Nath and their 8th time traveling together across multiple years. You're definitely in good hands!
