In Memoriam: Sliman Mansour (1947–2026).

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Sliman Mansour, one of the defining voices of modern Palestinian art.

For more than five decades, Mansour transformed land, memory, displacement, and sumud- steadfastness- into an unforgettable visual language. Through olive trees, traditional embroidery, Jerusalem, and figures carrying the weight of a homeland, his work preserved Palestinian identity while affirming dignity, belonging, and hope.
His passing is an immense loss, but his art remains rooted in the land, alive in collective memory, and speaking to generations still to come.

Rest in peace, Sliman Mansour. May your memory and your art endure.
