Join us at Osteria Morini on Sunday, July 19, as we welcome our friends Nevin Martell and Jill Nguyen for a special Sunday brunch celebrating Nevin’s upcoming book, How to Cook Foraged Foods without Dying to be published March 2, 2027, by Storey Publishing.

On the menu: savory cornetto with wild grass whipped mascarpone and Ivy City Smokehouse smoked salmon, bruschetta with Jill’s Pane Siciliano (sesame durum) with sautéed chanterelles and truffle vinaigrette, hand-rolled ricotta gnocchi with ramp and pumpkin seed pesto, and burrata with charred dandelion greens, hazelnut and pickled ramp pesto, prosciutto di parma, Lingurian olive oil, and fennel pollen agrodolce.

MEATBALLS AND GLORY🍝🔥 Get ready, DC — the 2nd Annual DC Meatball Battle is back, and it’s going to be saucy.

DC Food & Beverage Collective, Osteria Morini, and Chef Matt Adler of Cucina Morini and Caruso’s Grocery are teaming up again for this year’s meatball battle extravaganza. Eight of DC’s top chefs will go head-to-head (meatball to meatball?), crafting their ultimate meatball creations - and you get to taste them all and vote for your favorite!

Yes, there’s a judges’ panel. Yes, it’s serious. Yes, you should come hungry. BONUS: enjoy unlimited spaghetti marinara, penne alla vodka, and focaccia as well as one drink ticket for beer, wine, a specialty cocktail, or soft drinks.
