Happy Mother’s Day Mom. This is a dream that could never have been dreamt from your home in Bicol. Thank you for all of your sacrifices, I Love You ❤️.
A special thank you to Patty See, the amazing producer from ABC, who remembered me from a Kamayan Dinner that I did for her years ago. She sought me out for this story even though at first I said no because I wanted to protect my mother, she was scared. I would like to also thank Christiane Cordero, my mom was so happy that a Filipina was interviewing us and helping us share our story, and a big thank you to the best camera duo, Paul Dougherty & Tom Staton.
ABC News’ Christiane Cordero reports on the mother-daughter duo, chefs Patrice Cleary and Alice Hammond, who are behind Purple Patch restaurant which celebrates dishes from their Filipino heritage.
