This past weekend, we were delighted to welcome Israel Isales Jr., a friend I met about twenty years ago while living in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. As a martial arts expert, Israel has undergone rigorous MMA training and specializes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). Like myself, Israel prioritizes anti-aging techniques and we share some common practices. Regrettably, since my relocation from Puerto Rico in 2013, I have lacked a consistent supply of pure coconut milk that Israel used to share with me. Israel is now retired from competitive martial arts and focuses on his family in Boca Raton. During their visit, they enjoyed sampling our menu items and touring the smokehouse to learn about our commercial smoked fish production process. While we were grateful for the visit, it was tinged with sadness knowing his son will soon be deployed to the Middle East in support of The United States Air Force. Our thoughts are with him and his family, and we appreciate his service.
