At The Continent DC, we celebrate style, culture, and confidence. Our dress code is designed to complement the experience—not restrict personal expression.

We welcome smart casual looks, cocktail attire, polished seasonal style, and African attire. Whether you’re joining us for date night, dinner with friends, a celebration, or an evening out, we invite you to come dressed with intention and ready to enjoy the experience.

☀️ Summer style is welcome.

For our gentlemen, tailored khaki or chino-style shorts are welcome when paired with a polished polo or button-down shirt and clean, appropriate footwear.

For our ladies, chic and seasonally appropriate shorts are welcome when tastefully styled for the environment, with a minimum 3-inch inseam. We encourage polished looks that are stylish, balanced, and appropriate for the setting.

To help maintain the elevated atmosphere our guests know and love, we ask all guests to avoid overly casual athletic wear (unless there’s a watch party event) undershirts worn as tops, excessively distressed clothing, beachwear and flip-flops, overly revealing attire, and excessively casual footwear.

Our goal isn’t to limit your personal style—it’s to create an atmosphere where style, culture, comfort, and the experience can all coexist.

Our Boerewors wasn’t just inspired by South Africa—it was inspired by someone special whose appreciation for the rich flavors and traditions behind this iconic sausage sparked an idea that eventually found its way onto our menu.
