🌸 Spring was one for the books! 🌸

From beautiful weddings and corporate gatherings to backyard celebrations and community events, this season kept our team moving and doing what we love most—creating memorable experiences through food, drinks, and hospitality.

One of our favorite parts of spring is seeing our gardens come to life. Many of the edible flowers you see garnishing our cocktails, grazing tables, desserts, and specialty dishes are grown right here by our team. From vibrant blooms to fresh herbs, we love bringing ingredients from our garden directly to your event.

As we look back on the season, we’re grateful for every client who trusted us to be part of their celebrations, every vendor who partnered with us, and every guest who stopped by our bars and tables.

Now we’re ready for summer—and all the incredible events still to come. ☀️🍹🌿

Big congratulations are in order for two of our incredible Tapsters, Gabriel and Pahola, as they complete this chapter of their studies and prepare for college this fall! 🎓✨

These two have become such an important part of what keeps On The Fly moving behind the scenes. From long event days to late nights back at the kitchen resetting, reorganizing, cleaning, unloading, and making sure we’re ready to do it all again the next day — they are almost always the last ones standing with us.

Gabriel, who also serves as one of our event managers and part owners, brings leadership, calm under pressure, and dedication to every event he touches. Pahola truly does a little bit of everything and has become an amazing part of our grazing table team, helping create some of the beautiful displays our clients know and love.

What makes us especially proud is how well they work together as a team. No matter how long the day has been, they always show up ready to help wherever needed with positive attitudes and strong work ethic.

Watching young adults grow, work hard, and prepare for their next chapter is one of the most rewarding parts of building this company. We are so proud of both of you and cannot wait to see what the future holds. We are lucky to have you both as part of the On The Fly family. ❤️

What a night in DC. 🔥

On May 13th, we had the honor of bartending and catering for the National Cannabis Industry Associationďżź during their event week here in Washington, DC.

The turnout at The 507 on Capitol Hill was incredible, and the energy in the room was unmatched. From industry leaders and advocates to entrepreneurs and innovators, it was amazing to see so many people coming together to help shape the future of the cannabis industry. 🌿

✨ Elevated bites and catering designed to keep the crowd fueled all evening long

🐾🍸 Yappy Hour at The Stacks was one for the books! We had such a great time serving up signature cocktails, meeting adorable pups, and hanging out with the amazing DC community.

This round’s featured cocktails were:

🐶 The Bark – Mango Mutt Margarita
Tequila, fresh lime juice, mango, and basil agave

🐾 Sit, Stay, Sip
Rum, lime juice, coconut cream, and strawberry mint syrup

🔥 The Bloodhound Old Fashioned
Jack Daniel’s #7, bitters, and blood orange syrup

We also had light bites available to snack on while everyone mixed, mingled, and spoiled their pups all evening long. 🧀✨

The vibes were immaculate, the dogs were dressed better than most humans, and we already can’t wait for the next one.

Welcoming Häfele to DC 🇩🇨

We had the honor of catering Häfele’s first event in the DC market at the District Architecture Center—and we approached this one with intention. First impressions matter, especially when you’re entering a new city.

We started with a refined lunch experience built around a composed sandwich bar—elevated and layered:• Strawberry Turkey Club with avocado and house-made avocado mayo• Roast Beef & Swiss with honey mustard and horseradish• Vegetarian Caprese with basil pesto and mozzarellaPaired with our herb-forward potato salad and a blood orange arugula salad finished with shaved parmesan and our sprouted maple rosemary pecans

Everything on this menu was made in-house—from our focaccia bread to our dressings and our sprouted maple rosemary pecans—because the details matter.

As the space shifted into cocktail hour, so did the experience.A styled grazing table took center stage—abundant, textural, and designed to draw people in—paired with a classic beer and wine bar to keep the evening effortless and social.

Häfele is a global leader in architectural hardware, kitchen systems, and design solutions—known for blending functionality with elevated design across residential and commercial spaces. Bringing that level of innovation into the DC market is exciting, and we’re honored to have been part of their introduction here.
