Plan ahead - maybe rainy Friday after 7pm. Early rain Saturday morning, clear afternoon, and then a rainy Sunday. Best times to go out will be Friday 5-7pm and Saturday 11-8pm.

Happy Birthday to Sue, the lady behind the scenes (but often in the front of it all too!!) When she’s not running the operation in Warrenton or Bali you’ll find her on the crags climbing, rivers kayaking, dirt tracks biking, and mountain trails hiking! This year it was a fun time at Seneca Rocks in West Virginia which is just a nice day trip away from Fauquier, what a wonderful place to call home. Yay to getting older and bolder !

It’s saffron froyo season 🌸✨

Ever wondered what saffron actually is? It’s the hand-picked red threads of a purple crocus flower, just three per bloom. It takes about 150,000 flowers to make a single kilogram, which is why it’s called red gold.

The threads look red but turn everything a glowing gold, and the taste is floral and honey-sweet with a warm, earthy finish. Swirled into our creamy froyo, it’s pure magic 💛

Now you know how special it is, so come taste it before it’s gone! 🍦

Update - don’t try that on an empty stomach!

We’ve only got a few of these so hurry and take the hot gummy bear challenge. Only for the truly brave amongst us! Good news - if it’s too hot we’ve got a whole lot of froyo to cool it down.

There’s something about fall that just hits different, and we don’t think English has enough words for it. So we borrowed seven from around the world. 🍁

From the Japanese mono no aware (the bittersweet beauty of things fading) to the Balinese Rwa Bhineda (finding balance between opposites), every language seems to have its own way of holding onto this season before it slips away.

Swipe through and let us know which one feels most like your fall. We think we know which one hits closest to home for us. 🧡
