Plot twist: there’s no dairy making this tomato soup creamy.

Our Creamy Tomato Soup gets its richness from raw cashews + coconut milk, with fire-roasted tomatoes and garlic.

It’s creamy.

It’s comforting.

It’s vegan.

And it happens to be sharing a menu with a four-cheese Tuscan Grilled Cheese right now, which creates a pretty obvious lunch situation. 😂

This is one week at Beautiful Whirl’d.

Not food. Not sales. Not catering orders.

Recycling. 😂

Every box, can, bottle and piece of cardboard in this pile could have gone straight into the trash. Instead, we save it throughout the week for Clover Recycling to pick up.

Is it the glamorous side of owning a restaurant? Absolutely not.

But when you serve as many people as we do, little decisions pile up pretty quickly.

In this case, literally.

We’ve cared about being environmentally responsible since we opened Beautiful Whirl’d. Most of that doesn’t make for particularly exciting pictures. It looks more like breaking down boxes, separating cans and bottles, and having a corner of the restaurant look like this until pickup day.

One week.

Then we start another pile. ♻️💚

There’s a Grateful Dead bear painted on one of our doors.

That probably tells you more about Beautiful Whirl’d than a professionally written mission statement ever could.

This place was never supposed to feel like somebody designed a restaurant, ordered the approved restaurant decorations, and called it a day.

There are painted doors.

Greenery everywhere.

A ridiculous number of little lights.

Things with stories behind them.

Things that make absolutely no sense unless you ask.

And somehow, all of it belongs here.

We’ve always felt the same way about people.

You don’t have to match the room to have a place in it.

Maybe that’s the whole point.

For years, the answer was basically… not really. 😂

Eventually we decided maybe all those people were onto something.

So now mornings at Beautiful Whirl’d can look like this: an omelet loaded with veggies, fresh fruit on the side, and coffee — or waffles, breakfast tacos, crunchwraps, smoothie bowls and whatever else fits the kind of morning you’re having.

I think one of the strangest parts of owning a restaurant for ten years is realizing how much of it has been shaped by people simply asking us for things.

Breakfast is one of those things.

At some point, you stop being the new restaurant in town.

You look up and realize you’ve been showing up to the same community traditions for years.

Tonight we’re serving mini açaí bowls at the Kinsman House Gala — something Beautiful Whirl’d has been a part of for seven or eight years now.

And I love that.

Not because we get to put our logo on a table.

Because this is what “local” is supposed to mean.

It’s knowing the people.
Showing up for the events.
Supporting the places that preserve our history.
Watching traditions continue year after year.

Beautiful Whirl’d opened in Warren in 2016.

Somewhere along the way, Warren stopped being simply the place where our restaurant is located.

We became part of each other’s story.

Tonight, our tiny contribution to that story happens to come with strawberries, granola and very tiny spoons. 💚

We know. Pumpkin spice season has gotten a little out of control. 🎃

But hear us out.

Instead of turning a smoothie into liquid pumpkin pie, ours starts with actual pumpkin + banana, blended with almond milk, sweet cream, cinnamon and allspice.

Creamy. Fall-ish. Just sweet enough.

Basically, if September were a smoothie.
