Today was a huge milestone for us. We have officially filled over ✨1000 bags of coffee.✨ That means 1000 plastic containers that won't be sitting in a landfill for the rest of our lives and all of our children's.

When I started this thing, I just wanted to drink the best, freshest coffee in the world, free of plastic. If we could, eliminate our household coffee waste, too. I never imagined what we would grow into over the past year. Our waste actually nourishes new growth.

To accomplish this on the day we debuted our newest roast is, well, almost too much for words.

Mountain Climber has arrived from Tanzania! These AA/AB beans were grown at altitudes of 1-3,000 feet at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in volcanic ash soil and were *just roasted* this afternoon by our exceptional roasting partner.

The flavor notes are dark chocolate, almond, black tea, and citrus; but I daresay there is an earthiness to it that cannot truly be described, only tasted.

It's in my cup. Get it in your hands tomorrow at the Howland Farmers Market from 9-1!

We felt so inspired by our collab with Bite-Sized Bliss that we decided to do something a little different for the Howland Farmers Market this weekend.

Using Black's Family Farm maple syrup, organic flour, and our own fresh eggs, we are making a few batches of my signature Maple Sticky Buns!

We'll have both plain and pecan available by the bun, fresh-baked and pre-packaged (compostably, of course).

How fresh is your coffee?!

Take a look at your beans! The beans roasted this week are more matte in tone, while the beans from last week are shinier due to oil migration. Though coffee doesn't go "bad," per se, for almost a year, this is why other coffees may taste "greasy" by comparison after months of warehousing before reaching your pot.

Coffee is at peak freshness 1-2 weeks after roasting, which is when we aim to have it in *your cup*!

Today, we served repotted coffee at the Howland Farmer’s Market! This was such an honor to attend and went even better than I had hoped. We can’t wait to go back!

This was one of the first goals I set when we started out. In part because of what it means to sell at a farmer’s market, but also because it enables us to accept SNAP/ebt. Everyone should be able to access quality coffee.
