Today we are celebrating Mitch Albom and the sweetest drink on our menu inspired by him, the Birthday Cake Milkshake. It is deliciously rich and a little nostalgic, and impossible not to smile about, which feels fitting for a day dedicated to him.

His stories have always reminded readers to slow down, savor connection, and celebrate the people around us. To the graduates of our community: your next chapter begins now.

At Between Friends Coffee, we have always believed that every great story starts with courage, curiosity, and a little caffeine. This weekend, we celebrate the students who stayed up late studying, pushed through hard seasons, rewrote rough drafts, and kept turning the page even when the ending felt uncertain.

Some of you are heading to college., some are starting careers, and many are still figuring out what comes next. The beautiful thing about a story is that you do not have to know the ending to begin the journey! May your future be filled with adventures worthy of the novels you love, friendships that feel like home, and plot twists that lead you exactly where you are meant to be.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your story is just getting started, and we cannot wait to see how it unfolds.

Today is National Dog Rescue Day, and at Between Friends Coffee, we are celebrating the dogs who found their forever homes and the people who opened their hearts to them. Every rescue story feels a little like the best kind of literature. There is struggle, hope, second chances, and a happy ending that matters!

Whether your dog spends the afternoon curled beside you while you read or greets you at the door like the hero returning in the final chapter, rescue animals have a way of changing the story for the better. There are so many wonderful rescues and adoption avenues here in our community.

Grab your favorite drink, settle in with a good book, and give your rescue pup a little extra love today. We believe some of the greatest companions are the ones who were given a second chance! If you’re looking for a love to add to your life, let us know and we’ll hook you up!
