DON’T FORGET the June menu is inspired by our favorite children’s books, this may be our most whimsical menu yet—full of nostalgia, imagination, and a little magic. THEY ARE ADORABLE DRINKS! (pictures to come)

🚂 Even better? We’ll be at the train station all week.
After months of wonderful events and support from communities across the county, we’ve realized something: we really miss our regulars.

We’ve loved meeting new faces and serving coffee in new places (which we will be doing a lot more of this summer!), but there’s nothing quite like seeing familiar faces at the counter, catching up, and serving the community that helped build Whistle Stop Coffee.

So if you’ve been meaning to stop by, this is your week. Come grab a drink, explore the new menu, and spend some time with us while we’re home.

A quick note: our amazing staff will be holding down the fort for a few shifts this week. Many are still learning and growing in their roles, so we appreciate a little extra patience and kindness. They’re working hard, and we’re incredibly grateful for them. ❤️ any concerns during your visit please DM us!

Some places become so much more than buildings.

For me, the Walkersville Public Library has been one of those places.

As a new mom, those library doors opened up a world of resources, opportunities, and support that helped carry me through some of the most beautiful and challenging seasons of motherhood. It’s where my daughter fell in love with books. It’s where she met some of her very first friends. And it’s where I found an incredible tribe of moms who have become part of our village.

Truthfully, I wouldn’t be who I am today without the library.

And there is one librarian in particular—who is no longer at the Walkersville branch—who changed the course of my life. Years ago, they encouraged me to take a leap of faith and pursue a dream that felt far too big and far too scary at the time.

That dream became Whistle Stop Coffee.

So when the library reached out and asked if we would be part of their event, it was one of the easiest yeses I’ve ever given.

Because sometimes the places that quietly invest in us deserve every bit of support we can give in return.

Thank you, Walkersville Public Library, for helping shape our story. ❤️

PUBLIC REMINDER:

I am simply reposting this as a loving reminder to our patrons of our business operation!

As we balance life and work, the summer is definitely a time where many folks including US, a young family tend to lean on the life/family side. We will be experiencing a lot of firsts this summer and as many of you moms know! We don’t plan to miss it. We’ve got a lot of meaningful commitments coming up, and we’re choosing to be fully present for them.

Because of that, our weekly schedule may be a bit inconsistent and will reflect two very involved, very present parents doing their best to build a life they love.

We know this unpredictability can be tough on a small business—it’s actually been one of the biggest pieces of feedback we’ve received. But at the end of the day, we have to stay grounded in why we started this journey in the first place:

To connect with our community, serve great coffee, and spend more time together as a family.

We truly appreciate your understanding and support. Show up when you can, support how you can—it means more than you know. Being a part of your day is the love that keeps us going.

🧸✨ THE JUNE MENU IS FINALLY HERE! ✨🐛

Perfection takes time, and this one was definitely worth the wait.

On June 23, we were invited to join the Summer Kickoff Celebration at the Walkersville Library, and saying yes was easy!

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE THAT DAY!

To celebrate, the team at Whistle Stop Coffee created a menu inspired entirely by children’s books. Each drink is fun, creative, and honestly one of the most visually exciting menus we’ve ever put together.

I’ll keep this short and sweet.

Coffee is simply the vehicle we use at Whistle Stop Coffee to bring people together—and it works.

Every time the open sign is on, we watch people gather on the patio, strike up conversations, and connect with complete strangers. We love that because coffee isn’t political. It isn’t religious. It isn’t controversial. It’s something we can all share and bond over.

Truthfully, I needed that. And judging by the thousands of people who have come through our little coffee shop, it seems many of you needed it too.

That being said, my regulars deserve a special mention. Many of them started as customers having a conversation with a complete stranger—me. Over time, they’ve become so much more than patrons. They’ve become friends and a big part of the reason I continue doing this.

This morning, completely out of nowhere, I found myself getting absolutely swamped. Without hesitation, our friends Lynn and Courtney jumped behind the counter to help. What started as simple coffee shop conversations has grown into genuine friendships in the most unexpected and beautiful way.

Simply put, I don’t know what I’d do without them in my life at this point.

The best part? It all started with a cup of coffee and a simple conversation.

Waking up at 4:30 this morning was easier than usual.

My coffee journey started 15 years ago when I joined Wegmans as part of the team opening their Frederick location…. This was 2011 🦖..While the store was being built, I drove to Leesburg, VA every day for training.

What started as someone who didn’t even like coffee turned into managing their coffee shop and eventually becoming a trainer for Wegmans coffee teams.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle. When I got the call to help celebrate the store’s 15th anniversary, saying yes was easy.

I loved the opportunity to reflect on where this passion began and how it helped lead me to where I am today. ☕️💙

Let’s not forget, they had a chance to try for the first time!
