Our hearts ache to share the passing of Rod Tavanello 🤍🪽Known to many as Mr. T, Shadow, Geek, Mayor of Acme Hill, Pizza King, but most importantly Dad, Pop, Papa, and husband (Shad), Rod shared 89 years of one-liners, jokes, friendship, pickup basketball games, rounds of golf, made up stories and his love for others through 50 years of making pizza.

Thank you all for sharing your stories with us last week. He heard every one of them and smiled as we reminisced.

As a nod to his honor, we’d love if you would think of him when you happen to experience any of his favorite things: a glass of Carlo Rossi Paisano, a spaghetti Sunday dinner (google ‘scattone’ for his favorite tradition), Barberton chicken, a round of golf, a Cleveland or Ohio State sports game, or your favorite pizza - but most importantly, time with the people you love - friends and family alike.

We will be back open tomorrow and will share more about his celebration of life as it’s planned.

Thank you for enjoying and cherishing him as much as we have throughout his lifetime. He always used to say ‘I know a guy’ and today heaven gets the amazing guy we all knew ❤️
