Today I should have worn a Go Pro. 😬
So many things happen in a day as a business owner. I won’t give you all play by play, but I will share this special picture with you all.
Behind all the scenes of me being the owner/manager/baker/etc/etc. I have my husband. (Greg) He’s so much more than just the repair guy.
Greg has his hands in just as many projects as I do. Unfortunately his aren’t as exciting some days. Repairs at home. Repairs at the shop. Setting up my events. Picking up my wood from Duluth. Getting my supplies or equipment from towns around. The list never stops.
He thinks I’m nuts. I do agree. 🤭
So I’ll set this picture up for you all. For the last 4 years he or myself drive to Duluth to pick up a truck load of kiln dried fire wood for our pizza oven. Then Greg unloads it all to the basement. As the kids gotten older they do help as well. Moral of the story it’s hard work. 40 below or hot days like today. Never an easy job.
So he had an amazing idea to build this wood holder for outside. Him and my oldest son worked hard on this project . With that it had to be approved by the city of Virginia. So tonight we attended the city council meeting and he presented his case. He did such a good job and he was so proud.
Good news it will stay there outside and so much more safe for my staff and our family.
Greg works so hard on my shop to make my dream come to life. The work is never done. I know that The Sugar Shack wouldn’t be without all his hard work and dedication to my dreams.
Thank you Greg for this great idea.
Hey spread the word we make wood fire pizzas. 🍕🔥
