At Sugar Plum Bakery, our mission goes far beyond baking. 💙
One of the ways we help individuals with developmental disabilities gain independence is by creating tools that support success in the workplace. For some employees, reading can be a challenge, so we use visual systems that pair shapes, pictures, and icons with specific tasks, supplies, and ingredients.
Each employee has access to resources that help them confidently complete their job responsibilities independently. These tools enable employees to learn new skills, build confidence, and contribute meaningfully to our bakery team.
Supported Employment is about creating opportunities for people to gain and maintain competitive employment, and we're proud to be part of that journey every day. Small accommodations like these can make a big difference, helping individuals thrive both at work and in their communities.
