Many of you have reached out in the last week with questions and concerns.
First off, me and my family are OK 🙏🏼
It’s been 5 years since Clayton’s opened its doors. What a ride! I accomplished what I set out to do. I had a dream to own my own restaurant ✅ I did that. Make a name for myself and for Clayton’s ✅ I did that too.
My team and I created a beautiful space with delicious food, we won battles, brought home trophies and brought Clayton’s and the popular “Butter Burger” into the spotlight. I created a brand that I am proud of and it will forever be one of my greatest accomplishments. Owning a business is definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. It’s exactly the opposite of what you think it might be. It is not for the weak. You have to be passionate, driven and self-motivated. Even with all of those qualities, sometimes you have to step away.
As difficult as this is, it is time for me to move on. I never do anything half ass. I put EVERYTHING I had into Clayton’s, my heart and soul are in every recipe, every dish that went out. I love what I do!! It was never a job to me. I seriously love the grind, the rush, the banging of pots and pans, the fire, the heat, the blood, sweat and tears 🔪😅 The smile on the faces of happy, satisfied guests that eat at my restaurant!
I recently just turned 50 and after learning many hard lessons and having this experience, it has brought me to a pretty big decision and I have decided that I am closing and selling Clayton’s. If you know anyone who may be interested in owning and running a turnkey restaurant, please let me know…
My main focus right now is my health, my family and the next chapter.
This isn’t Goodbye…
