How has it been a year already?! 🥹💛

One year ago, we cut the ribbon and opened the doors to the Old School Cofé in Vinton, Ohio...

For so long, we had dreamt of offering a safe, encouraging space to employ those earning their lives back from addiction - a positive atmosphere where recovery is front-of-mind, milestones are celebrated, and community can be built. But what we gained from the opening of the Old School Cofé was far more than we imagined.

Besides just a positive atmosphere, our team became like family. From the busy rushes of brewing dozens of coffees to the quiet moments during opening shifts, lasting friendships were built through countless inside jokes, encouragement during the hard moments, celebrating the good ones together, and, of course, making many, many TikToks along the way.

We've been incredibly blessed to get to know our different team members over the past year. We've watched some move on to new adventures while others have stayed since the Grand Opening, but no matter how long they were part of our journey, each person has helped shape Old School Cofé into what it is today, and we're truly grateful for every piece of it. 💛

BEYOND THAT (how are we so lucky?), what truly surprised us was the way our customers showed up for us and became like family too.

Over the past year, we've gotten to know our regulars by name, joyfully anticipating their visit. We've had handwritten thank-you cards sent to us in the mail, thoughtful gifts as tokens of appreciation given, and countless kind words shared. We've had the honor of witnessing MULTIPLE engagements right here on campus as we've taken part in memories that will last a life time, and we've welcomed so many unforgettable visitors through our doors, locals and travelers alike. We've hosted dates, meetings, Bible studies, and reunions. And we truly believe that every conversation, every smile, and every moment shared here has helped to make this place what it is.

What an incredible community of warm, loving people. Gallia County, we love you. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your stories. We never imagined a coffee shop could become a second home for so many, including us. 💛☕️
