Sonnie's Coffee + Energy

Sonnie's Coffee + Energy Sonnie’s coffee + energy was created with a heart to pour joy, share sunshine, and point people to Jesus.

We can’t wait to serve our community, share what God is building, and bring a little sunshine wherever we go!

We’ve had quite a few questions about whether the missing generator will affect our weekly schedule and availability, so we wanted to give you an update!

The good news is that not only does Harvest Church graciously let us invade their parking lot each week, they also generously allow us to plug into their outdoor electricity as we serve our community. This has always been such a HUGE blessing to us (and, honestly, it’s pretty hard for Shawna to carry on a full conversation with a generator running in the background 😂).

We’ve also had fellow church members and even customers reach out and offer us the use of their generators until we either find ours (🙏) or purchase a new one. God always provides! We are so incredibly blessed to live in a community where, yes, sometimes crappy things happen—but the good continues to outweigh the bad. ❤️

We don’t know the circumstances behind our generator being taken, but we do know this: it will NOT slow us down. Evil does not get to win. We will continue serving Jesus by serving our community—one cup at a time. ☕️❤️

Okay…enough of all that! 😆

Tomorrow we’ll be at the Harvest Church parking lot from 7:00 AM–1:30 PM!

And because it’s Vinton-Shellsburg Homecoming Week, we decided to get into the school spirit and turn our Glo Getter into a school-spirit-inspired energy drink!

🖤💛 GLOW. FIGHT. WIN. 💛🖤

Get your very own VS Homecoming-inspired energy drink tomorrow for just $5!

Let’s go, Vikings! 🖤💛

Whoever took our generator from behind our house next to the camper this afternoon, please do the right thing and return it.

No questions asked. Just place it back where you found it.

We need it to run our mobile coffee trailer when we don’t have electric access. We believe people are good and will do the right thing.

Picture of exact generator included.

✨ Have you ever wondered where we come up with our unique drink names? ✨

Sometimes they’re funny, sometimes they’re descriptive, sometimes they’re seasonal, but our main inspiration comes from Scripture. 📖

Each week, we’re going to share the meaning behind some of our most popular drink names!

We’re kicking off the series with one of our favorites—and one of our most popular energy drinks: The Good News. 💛

Did you know that “good news” means Gospel?

So, every time you order a Good News, we hope it reminds you of the BEST news of all—that Jesus loves you so much that He gave His life for you. ❤️

📖 John 3:16 God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

📖 Romans 5:8
God showed how much He loves us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners

So grab a Good News, sip on some truth, and remember the Gospel—the GOOD NEWS of Jesus! ✝️💛

A couple of changes for the end of this week

Tomorrow, Friday the 2nd, we will be at Harvest Church parking lot as usual from 7am-3:00pm. Friday mornings are especially crazy so be sure to schedule a few extra minutes into your morning Sonnie's wait time. Our new menu was super popular today so it will be worth your wait!

Saturday, the Vinton Club Soccer tournament was moved to the VS High School football/soccer field so head that way instead of the Elementary school. The public is welcome! So whether you’re cheering on a soccer player or just need your weekend caffeine fix, come see us! 🫶

Today marks the start of our third official month serving our community and we can't thank you all enough for your support. We look forward to another exciting month with exciting new flavors as we welcome in Fall. (and hopefully a whole lot less rain! )

🎃 ✨ October Menu drop ✨ 🎃

TOMORROW! Be one of the first to get your hands on a Sonnie’s October drink! 🍂

We’ll be in the back parking lot of Virginia Gay Hospital from 7AM–10AM serving up a little sweetness, a little caffeine, and a whole lot of Sonshine. ✨

No tricks- just treats in the form of sweet drinks! ✝️

We (I Shawna) didn't want this post to get lost tomorrow as we are introducing our October menu, so I'm posting a day early.

😂 1st OFFICIAL SONNIE’S EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH 😂

Apparently, there have been some rumors floating around the pink trailer that Kenna works harder than Shawna and therefore deserves a higher percentage of the tips.

Let's review job responsibilities:

Shawna:
🚚 Professional Trailer Transporter: Shawna drives the trailer and BACKS IT UP-getting it into position, unhooks it, and sometimes physically (usually) pulls the thing where it actually needed parked.

💰 Head of Financial Operations: Takes the customers' money with remarkable efficiency. Counts it. Usually gives back correct change.

🗣️ Director of Customer Relations: Shawna provides approximately 87% of all customer conversations, whether the customer requested it or not. She talks. And talks. And talks. Somehow manages to turn a 30-second coffee transaction into a full-length documentary.

Kenna:
☕ makes a few drinks. 🙄

After careful consideration, extensive polling, and absolutely zero outside influence, we are THRILLED to announce that our Employee of the Month is…

SHAWNA!

The results show there was an obvious winner and a second poll was created by Kenna because of her disagreement with the clear results.

Please direct all complaints, questions, and requests for a recount to management. Also Management is Shawna. 💗
