Victoria, this is one of the hardest posts I've ever had to write.

Over the last few years, we've watched too many locally owned businesses close their doors here in Victoria. Every time it happened, I felt for those owners because I knew how much of themselves they had poured into their business. Unfortunately, today it's our turn to share that news.

After many sleepless nights, difficult conversations, and more stress than I can put into words, I've made the decision that Sunday, July 5th, will be the final day of operation for Paints Underground Pizza.

Six years ago, we opened our doors with a dream of bringing something different to Victoria. What followed was an incredible journey filled with great customers, amazing employees, lasting friendships, and memories that I'll carry with me forever.

To our customers: thank you. Thank you for supporting us through the good times and the tough times. Thank you for choosing a local pizza shop when you had countless other options. Whether you visited once a week or once a year, you helped make this dream possible.

To every employee who has been part of Paints Underground Pizza: thank you. Watching many of you grow into confident adults, leaders, and professionals has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. I couldn't be more proud of what you've accomplished.

To our vendors, suppliers, and property ownership: thank you for your partnership and support throughout these past six years.

Owning Paints Underground Pizza has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. It challenged me, humbled me, taught me lessons I'll never forget, and introduced me to people I'll always be grateful to know.

I have one final request. Please continue to support local businesses in Victoria. Behind every small business is someone taking risks, working long hours, missing family time, worrying about payroll, and doing everything they can to keep their doors open. Your support matters more than you know.

We still have a little time left, and we'd love the opportunity to serve you one last tavern-style square-cut pizza, cinnamon roll, or just say thank you in person before we close.
