Hey Vernonia! 🎣

​Did you know it’s Free Fishing Weekend across the entire state of Oregon today and tomorrow (June 6th & 7th)?

​If you’ve been looking for an excuse to get outside, this is it! You don't need a license, tag, or endorsement to fish, crab, or clam anywhere in the state this weekend.
​Here’s the rundown:

​🐟 Keep it local: Grab your poles and head right down to Vernonia Lake! It’s a perfect weekend to get everyone out on the water.

​🦀 Hit the coast: If you’re up for a drive, crabbing and clamming are also completely free statewide right now! (Just remember to check the ODA hotline for any beach closures before digging).

​🌲 Bonus: Today (Saturday) is also State Parks Day, so day-use parking is totally free at all Oregon State Parks!

​(Note: All standard catch limits, size restrictions, and gear rules still apply!)

​Calypso's is officially open Wednesday through Sunday, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
​Whether you're out enjoying a walk by the lake or just craving a classic liquid vanilla swirl or a blackberry milkshake, come swing by. I'll be at the window ready to mix up your favorites!

Calypso's is taking one more family day! We will be closed today (Saturday) to get some much-needed rest, but I'll be back to mixing shakes and serving up that liquid vanilla goodness tomorrow, Sunday, March 29th. Thanks for understanding!
