Looking for a fun little getaway that’s only 10 minutes west of Village Pointe on the Dodge Expressway?
It’s Valley Nebraska.
You could spend a good part of your morning, especially on Saturdays because it’s Schoolhouse Gardens Farmer’s Market on Spruce St from 9 AM until 2 PM.
Then you can venture over to The Cottage Cup and enjoy a latte or even just a cup of hot coffee with a fresh cinnamon or pecan roll or even enjoy a slice of quiche with fresh fruit.
Then venture back up to Spruce St, which is just 1/2 block …walking distance to some charming shops.
Retail therapy is a wonderful Vintage Shop with an array of treasures and handcrafted items as well. Open 10-4
Just two doors down is Everything Happier. Open Friday & Saturday 10-4
It has a menagerie of items to explore. It’s fun just to look at their unusual selection of greeting cards. You can grab a bag of taffy to munch on while you walk down to Sapphire Blue… Open 10-5
It’s just Across the street and it has the most beautiful gift items, Ladies clothing, baby items, jewelry, accessories, you can’t even imagine how many different things there are, including the coveted “Jellicats”
Walk back down Spruce St and you’ll come across the Gallery by Wendy Deane.
Open 10-4 You could peek in and see the beautiful tables set with fine China just waiting for the next party. Also, for sale are original contemporary canvas art pieces and accessories.
By now you are ready to sit down and take a break…Con Anour is just the place to get a beverage and a bite for lunch. Beautiful decor and delicious food. Open 11-9
Now you could even go full circle back to The Cottage Cup and sit on the patio and enjoy a refresher or an iced coffee or maybe even a root beer float because now they carry a small selection of ice cream items .
All this and it’s only 10 minutes west of OMAHA
